Attorneys on TV - Barber Law

Are the Attorneys You See on TV Right for You?

There are multiple law firms with an extensive advertising presence on television. While these ads are successful in generating clients, they may not be a good fit for you.

“THEY’RE SO WELL KNOWN! HOW COULD THEY NOT BE THE RIGHT ATTORNEYS FOR ME?”

Attorneys on TV - Barber Law

  1. Often, these firms don’t actually perform any legal work themselves and will refer your case to another law firm. Why would they do that? When your case settles, they receive a referral fee (that’s right- a kickback) from the firm they referred your case to. Some firms make a living on just referring cases!
  2. These firms that do keep your case often hire newly minted, inexperienced attorneys to work on the cases they receive.
  3. Oftentimes, these firms have high turnover among attorneys. There will be no continuity of the legal work done on your case. The clients who started with these firms (before firing them and coming to us) have said that they never spoke to the same attorney twice.

The hallmark of a better firm is that it receives its cases based on reputation. We don’t need to advertise as our clients find us through recommendations from former clients, other attorneys, and retired judges.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK OTHER PROFESSIONALS OR OTHER ATTORNEYS YOU KNOW FOR A REFERRAL.
